SNAP Applications and Recertifications
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps, provides food assistance for nearly 1.8 million low-income New Yorkers. We assist individuals and families in our community with applying and securing benefits from this much-needed program.
In addition to SNAP applications, we also provide recertification services for SNAP by appointment only. We are currently seeing SNAP clients from 8am to 2:30pm Monday through Thursday. The casework team at Bread & Life is dedicated to connecting guests with resources and benefits including but not limited to:
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Social Security
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Rental Assistance
- Referrals to Urban Justice
- ERAP Application Support
- Mail Service (8am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday)
