Benefit Acquisitions (Single Stop Entitlements)

As a registered Single Stop™ Provider, Bread and Life strives in assisting clients to become self- sufficient. We help clients with obtaining benefits and connections with services:

• Free Tax Preparation Services - if your gross income is  $18,000 or less and your  filing status is single, or $58,000 or less and you filing status is not single,  you are eligible for our free tax preparation program. All services are free of charge and include free electronic filing for Federal and State tax returns. For the 2009 tax year, we helped 1,500 filers apply for $3,600,000.00 on their tax returns. We will file all forms including EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) for Federal and State, School Tax Credit and Renters Credit for both working and non-working individuals. • Food Stamp & Medicaid Online Enrollment - online Food Stamps and Medicaid Applications. Please see Social Services for a pre-screening and an appointment. Come and see if your apply for these benefits online on Tuesday and Thursday, appointment only (must have all proper and complete documents to apply)
