The culinary job training program is an 8-week long, 120-hour course that meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday. The focus of the program is basic knife and cooking skills coupled with kitchen safety, sanitation and storage. Interested participants are first asked to volunteer for at least 20 hours in the Bread & Life food pantry and kitchen. We are building relationships with food businesses in Brooklyn and Manhattan to place those who have completed the course into paid internships and placements.
