Please join us at Artshack Brooklyn on Saturday, February 8 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for an Empty Bowls Dinner in support of Bread & Life!

Typically an annual event, Empty Bowls Dinners provide a way for potters and ceramicists to support hunger relief efforts. Artists create all sorts of bowls to sell in order to raise money for organizations fighting hunger in their communities.

1.2 million New Yorkers face hunger each year, including 1 in 5 children. Homelessness in New York City has reached the highest levels since the Great Depression, and families with kids make up more than two-thirds of the shelter population.

At Empty Bowls, each participant chooses (and keeps!) a ceramic bowl handmade by a local artist and shares a meal of soups, stews, breads, and desserts by local chefs. Add a tumbler or mug to your ticket—it comes with your choice of beverage—and enter to win raffle and silent auction prizes. All proceeds go to Bread & Life to fight poverty in Brooklyn and Queens.

All are welcome - purchase tickets now!
