What time do you serve meals?

St. John's Bread and Life's main Soup Kitchen is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 9:30 am for breakfast. We serve Lunch from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Learn more about our Meal Programs.

When is the Digital Food Pantry open?

The food pantry is open on Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 11:30am. On Friday, it is open from 9:00am to 11:30am. There are extended hours every Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. Learn more about our Digital Choice Food Pantry.

Are you open on weekends?

Although we’d love to be able to serve our clients all the time, only some of our services are offered during the weekend. To find what you’re looking for specifically, please see our Programs page for more information.

Where are you located?

St. John’s Bread and Life is located at 795 Lexington Avenue, between Patchen and Malcolm X Boulevard, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Click here for directions.

Can you help me get food stamps?

Do you need volunteers?

Absolutely. We couldn’t serve those in need without our dedicated volunteers. Whether you’d like to volunteer as a group or individually, you can help serve hungry New Yorkers in a number of ways. Visit our Volunteer page to begin.

Can anyone get food at Bread and Life?

Can you help me get a job?

Where in Queens does your Mobile Soup Kitchen go to?
